Jardin de Pio is a fine dining restaurant serving Italian, Spanish, and Filipino cuisine in Lucena City.

Went here to celebrate my sister’s birthday and here’s what we ordered.

Antipasto de Jardin

Assorted lettuce, house Guanciale, dried fruits, roasted tomatoes, olives, green apple, pistachio nuts, cranberry, date, and fig vinaigrette.

Definitely love a fresh salad!

Truffle Formaggi

Truffled bechamel, pecorino, Parmigiano, blue cheese, mozzarella, fresh mushrooms, honey, arugula.

This one tastes good but as an arugula lover, I would’ve appreciated more arugula on my pizza. I actually asked the staff if they can add more but told me that they no longer have any. Sadt.

They have a lot of other pizza options that look delicious like their Prosciutto Serrano and Creamed Pesto &  Smoked Bacon.

Pugon Liempo

Slow-roasted pork belly, pesto, aligue rice, and santol juls.

Juicy and tender. Love its sauce but could have been better if they reduce it a bit since the rice was soaked and nakakaumay. This could easily be a 5/5 for me but we really did not enjoyed it because of too much sauce. Or maybe we should have just ordered plain rice. LOL.

Paella Valenciana, gambas, squid, mussels, clams, pulpo.

Hhhmmm… Not just worth the price for me. Expected a bit more elevated taste.

For the drinks, they have a variety of options from coffee, hot chocolate, alcohol-based coffee, soda, ginger ale, fresh fruit shakes, fresh fruit juices, and limonata.

They have cakes too but we weren’t able to order since they are already closing. They asked us for our last order and we just ordered drinks instead of dessert.

Overall Rating

Make sure to make a reservation before going here, especially on weekends as the place might get packed and they usually don’t accept walk-ins.

We came early before our reservation and they assisted us immediately. We waited for a few minutes and got seated afterward. The staff was pleasant but a bit hard to call since we were seated on the 2nd floor. We have to wait for someone to go up to get our orders and look for them again to order additional drinks and get our bill. It was a bit understandable since they were almost closing already when we are getting our bill. Serving time was reasonable for a fine dining restaurant.

Food were mostly delicious but could still use some improvements. Overall, we are happy and would recommend this place if you are looking to have a fancy dinner or celebrate something.
