Already tried some of Anneville Cafe’s food via take-out, or pasalubong whenever my family dine-in without me. I don’t know either why I was not with them. LOL. I remember that it already happened twice. The first time, they brought home a salad. I was surprised that it tastes really good. So, I thought that I should dine in sometimes.
The 2nd time, they brought home Kare-Kare Lechon Kawali and pasta I think. Can’t remember the other one but I can clearly remember how delicious their Kare-Kare was. Not to mention that their bagoong was also good! Super yummy together!
I think it has been over a year already when I tried them. The last time, pre-pandemic days, my friends and I were supposed to dine in but they were close. Finally, this time when my friends and I decided to have a mini-reunion, I instantly suggested going to Anneville Cafe. Which by the way is located near me so, double purpose. Haha.
There were only a few people we came and if you are wondering, yes they are definitely following the basic safety protocols.
Was supposed to order their Chicken Salad but I was abstaining from eating meat at that time since it was Friday and almost Holy Week so, we skipped it and order other food instead. Here’s what we had:
Seafood in Olive Oil – as expected. It did not disappoint! Love it! Aside from its spectacular taste, the pasta was also loaded with seafood. So much love for this one! We also love the garlic bread that comes with every pasta dish. And the good news is, you can order extra garlic bread! Yum (but since we ordered pizza, we did not order additional garlic bread).

Creamy Bacon Carbonara – creamy, indeed! My friends ordered the same so, we’re able to compare it. One was extra creamy while the other one was just right. My friend preferred a creamier one so she had it, and my other friend prefers the less creamy one. Win-win. LOL. And the best part was it was loaded with lots of bacon!

Spicy Seafood Pizza – wasn’t really spicy but we like it. Just like their pasta, this one is pretty loaded with toppings too. Love the herbs on top which for me, made it special.

Four Cheese Pizza – not really a fan of four cheese pizzas but my friend wanted to have it so, we ordered it. We were only 4 and the pizza are 8 slices each. LOL.
If all four cheese pizzas are like this, I’m definitely in! It has herbs sprinkled on top which made it a hit for me. 👌

Nutella Frappe – my friend ordered this and said that it tastes good — not too sweet which would make you want to drink more.

They have lots of cakes but as much as we wanted to try them all, we decided to try just one since we already had a lot.
Carrot Cake – my friend loves carrot cake so, she ordered this. I just took a bite. I actually love its frosting but it was too sweet thus overpowering the taste of the cake. My friend actually removed some of it para less umay daw. Also, we noticed that the cake was a bit on the dry side. For the taste, it tastes good but can be better.

Glad that I brought my friends here at Anneville Cafe and finally, I was able to dine in! To be honest, their price is just enough but for “Lucena budget”, this is already a bit pricey. My friend was actually complaining at first saying “ang OA naman ng presyo dito”. Hahahaha. But believe me, it’s worth it! I mean, for that price, you can enjoy legit and high-quality food. Manila-style food at probinsya price!
This is definitely one of the best (my top on the list) must-try cafes in Lucena. If you haven’t tried them yet, well, you’re missing out on all the good food they offer!

Would definitely come back and recommend this place for pasta, pizza, frappes, and salads! Technically, everything! Well, I have to try their other cakes next time and they better be good!
