After enjoying unlimited Samgyupsal at Master Samgyup, my friends and I decided to have coffee. I asked them where we should go and this was one of the coffee shops that’s open earlier than most of the cafes in Lucban. Aside from that, they highly recommend Kape de Kulapi for good coffee.
At the entrance, there’s a quick menu overview which seems like their “specialty of the day” or maybe something like that. They also observe proper protocol: you should get your own temperature, sanitize before entering inside and observe social distancing.
Since we came around at noon time, the sun was shining brightly at the front side so we’ve decided to sit on the side part. They also have a 2nd floor but we wanted to enjoy the breeze outside. Also, safer since it is open air.
We’re glad that there were only a few customers at that time and we enjoyed the place on our own without worrying that others are waiting to be seated or worrying that the place is too crowded.
I really love the ambiance of this place! The counter is also very aesthetic which matches the vibe outdoors and the Lucban weather.
Here’s what we ordered.
Kape ni Padre
Kape de Kulapi’s very own “Kape Espesyal” made with layers of espresso, milk, white chocolate, and a shot of local wine.
This is one of their specialties so, I just had to give it a try even though it has espresso on it (which is too strong for me and causes me sometimes palpitations), and I am glad I gave it a try! Definitely one of the best things you can enjoy in the cold weather of Lucban after eating something heavy. Surprisingly, I felt just fine after drinking this.
I enjoyed taking photos here since there’s natural light and the vibe is so refreshing.
By the way, this drink is available hot or iced.

Matcha Espresso
Matcha with vanilla, milk, and espresso.
Was actually torn between this and their Kape ni Padre but decided not to go for it since they only use powdered matcha. Not that I don’t like it but might as well enjoy something that they specialize.
So, my friend ordered this and said that the taste was just okay and rated it 3/5.

I was supposed to order some desserts to match our coffee but unfortunately, they don’t have churros and only have Blueberry Cheesecake. I was torn if I should order it but nah, did not order it in the end and ordered pizza instead. Also, to share with my friends!
Hawaiian Pizza
I actually wanted to try their Mozarella Pizza but they chose Hawaiian Pizza, 2 vs. 1. Haha.
I actually didn’t noticed it until I was writing this article that their Hawaiian Pizza doesn’t have pineapple? Whaaaat???
Oh well, we actually enjoyed the thin crust pizza and it tastes just fine.
Aside from this, they also have Pepperoni, Mozarella (all meat), and Quesadilla.

My friends are still hungry after eating unlimited samgyupsal??? Haha. I wanted to enjoy a bowl too but I am already too full. *sigh.
Laksa
I asked them how it taste, and they just told me that it tastes fine. Haha. They said they have nothing to compare it with so, this one is already good for them. Something to fill their stomach!

We’re almost done eating, there were just a few pizza left and just chatting when they gave us free ice cream! Yay!!! Ice cream is always a good idea even though the place is cold. Haha. I didn’t saw this on their menu though so, I am not sure if you can order it. But again, yey for freebies!
Overall, I like the place. I love the overall vibe and we enjoyed dining in. Very cozy place and they have quite a lot on their menu which is a good thing. Whether you want something for lunch, merienda, or just enjoy a sip of coffee with your family or friends, Kape de Kulapi is the place to go!
