Unlimited Japanese Bbq and Tempura has also become a huge thing this 2019. With the rise of all restaurants offering unlimited food, we are always on the look for delicious yet affordable dishes with quality service.
Happy Niku serves unlimited Japanese bbq and tempura for a minimum of Php 399 only for unlimited pork yakiniku only. If you want to have their unlimited pork and beef, you can do so, by paying Php 499. And for unlimited pork and beef with side dishes which is basically, everything that is listed on their menu costs Php 545.
At first, we ordered the unlimited pork and ordered a few side dishes. Upon learning that the lettuce wasn’t included in the Unli Pork, the staff recommended that we get the Unli All instead since it would be cheaper than ordering additional side dishes. So, we opted to avail of the Unli All instead. Good thing that we can still change our order.
For the side dishes, they have Yasai Salad, Cucumber Sunomono, Potato Salad, and Sweet Potato Salad.
The side dishes are just so-so and we don’t like the Yasai Salad since it has a sweet taste. We love Yasai Salad that’s why we’re a bit disappointed.
The other side dishes include Gohan, Chahan, Seaweed Soup, Lettuce, Tamagoyaki, Steamed Egg, and Kimchi,
We love their Steamed Egg and the rest was just so-so.
The slices of cabbage from the Kimchi was too small that it looks like it came from the cabbage trimmings. Tastewise, it’s okay.
Side Dishes Rating: 3/5
For the Pork Yakiniku, they have the thin-cut pork belly, thin-cut pork belly in teriyaki sauce, pork belly, seasoned pork belly, seasoned pork jowl, pork loin in sweet & spicy sauce, and pork neck in sweet sesame sauce.
Pork Yakiniku Rating: 5/5
We all love the flavorful thin slices of meat!
For the Beef Yakiniku they have sliced beef short plate, sliced beef short plate in curry sauce, in Japanese steak sauce, and in teriyaki sauce.
Beef Yakiniku Rating: 5/5
At first, we thought we will not like the one with curry sauce but we did! All the sliced beef short plates were delicious since it was sliced really thinly which made it flavorful.
For the Yakitori, they have chicken liver, chicken skin, chicken thigh, and quail egg.
We only tried the Chicken Skin and Quail Egg and both tastes good especially the chicken skin. Yum!
Were a bit shocked that the serving of quail egg is a lot.
Yakitori Rating: 3.5/5
Aside from that, they also have the Tempura and Maki selections which include Ebi Tempura Maki, California Maki, Crispy Beef Maki, Ebi Tempura, and Kani Tempura.
The California Maki was good but the Ebi and Kani Tempura’s breading were too thick and the tempura was too small.
Tempura and Maki Rating: 3/5
Overall, we really love all the thin pork and beef slices. Since it was sliced really thin, the meat was flavorful and easy to cook. If you are looking for delicious meat options for your yakiniku, I would recommend this place but while we love their meat selection, the downside was their side dishes and tempura (in other words, everything aside from the meat). Since the place specializes in Japanese Bbq and Tempura, we expected bigger and delicious tempura. The tempura was disappointing since it was too small. We also hope that they can improve the flavor of their side dishes and most importantly, its quality.
