Ube Cheese Pandesal

Gemini Bakery’s Ube Cheese Pandesal

Ube Cheese Pandesal was made popular by a bakeshop in Silang, Cavite. Since Filipinos love all the three ingredients it is made with (ube, cheese, and pandesal), it became a sudden hit here in the Philippines. Everyone tried making their versions and sell it making it widely available in the Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon.

And finally, it has reached Lucena City (or I have learned that it is now available here). The Ube Cheese Pandesal is available at Gemini Bakery.

Ube Cheese Pandesal

I wasn’t expecting that much since it only costs Php 10 in comparison to the famous ones being sold in Cavite and Metro Manila.

It tastes good.

It has a beautiful purple hue just like how I’ve seen it in photos and is oozing with cheese inside (make sure to reheat it). The pandesal was soft and it remains so even after a few days. The size was big enough for its price. However, the nuttiness of the purple yam is a bit missing. Even so, it still tastes good! I mean, you get the quality of bread that you’ve paid for.

Price: Php 10
Table for: 1
Food Rating: 4/5

If you are going to ask me if I will buy it again, my answer is yes.

It is better eaten when hot just like our regular pandesal so, make sure to reheat it!
