I am one of the passengers who is hesitant ordering inflight meals since 1) most of it are expensive, and 2) I would rather wait to disembark the plane and indulge in food once I arrived at my destination.
So, this is my first time trying out airline food. It was when we boarded the plane from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia going back to the Philippines. We had a late-night flight and haven’t had dinner yet so, we have decided to give it a try AirAsia’s inflight meals since we are hungry and they are serving Malaysian food. To our surprise, the food was affordable and you can actually enjoy it at a lower cost if you ordered it beforehand.
Since I didn’t have enough Nasi Lemak, I have decided to order one.
Pak Nasser’s Nasi Lemak – coconut rice served with Pak Nasser’s chili sambal and chicken rendang on the side, fried anchovies, crunchy groundnuts and half hard boilded egg.
I wasn’t really expecting that much but it was actually good! It actually satisfied my cravings. I mean, the chili sambal was really spicy, the chicken rendang was tender though I wish they put 1 piece egg rather than a half piece.

Uncle Chin’s Chicken Rice or Nasi Ayam Uncle Chin – rice served with roasted chicken served accompanied by Uncle Chin’s special chili and garlic and ginger soy sauce.
This one tastes good as well. The rice was fluffy and the chicken was tender. We also like the sauce that comes with it. A satisfying dish to keep you full while enjoying the ride.

Of course, we also ordered dessert!

This is my first time eating cheesecake with whipped cream and I loved it!

AirAsia’s inflight meals are not bad at all! And I guess I will be reviewing inflight meals from now on.
