Mimi & Bros. is a walk up bar that serves up good chicken, ribs, chops, and drinks. Recently, they came up with the “Everything Fried Chicken” campaign and released the limited edition Cheesy Fried Chicken. It’s now out in the market, but worry, not as they release the new star of their campaign last March 7, the limited edition Fiery Fried Chicken. These new chicken dishes will surely set your taste buds on fire.
Mimi’s Fiery Fried Chicken Quarter – a chicken quarter served with rice and a side dish of your choice. What I love about this dish is that it’s not only juicy and spicy, but it also has a buttery taste that kicks up. Still, don’t forget to try to create your own sauce mix to help you mellow down the spiciness
Price: Php 325
Table for: 1
Food Rating: 4/5
Mimi’s Fiery Fried Chicken Sandwich – chicken fillet tossed in their secret hot sauce will give you a tingling, tangy sensation and will have you asking for more. The sandwich has pickles, cabbage and mayonnaise inside and served with French fries. I love this one better since the mayonnaise helped the fiery-ness of the chicken more tolerable and delicious.
Price: Php 295
Table for: 1
Food Rating: 5/5
Wait, there’s more! Aside from the Fiery Fried Chicken they also released Mimi’s Chili Series. I find these dishes a little too subtle for its name, but Chef Edward explained that these dishes are meant to compliment and mellow things down from the Fiery Fried Chicken.
Chili con Carne Fries – as its name implies, it is a fries generously topped with chili meat.
Price: Php 210
Table for: 2-3 persons
Food Rating: 4/5
Chili Bowl – I find this one underwhelming for it to be included in the “chili series”. Served with only toasted bread, I was looking for a kick of spiciness that’s just right to compliment the Fiery Fried Chicken dishes.
Price: Php 265
Table for: 1-2 persons
Food Rating: 3/5
Chili Dog – the toppings of this hotdog is the same chili con carne used in the Chili con Carne Fries.
Price: Php 265
Table for: 1
Food Rating: 3.5/5
Chili con Carne Nachos – at first I thought that the chili con carne were, too few but as I dig in, I was satisfied of how everything was balanced.
Price: Php 325
Table for: 3-4
Food Rating: 4.5/5
Everything must come to an end but don’t forget to always end a fiery meal with a dessert!
S’mores – this is the reward after indulging into that Fiery Fried Chicken madness. I love how crumbly the bottom layer was, then topped with a delicious chocolate layer and torched marshmallows. The rice crispies on the surface gave it a crunchy texture, while the frosting and caramel surrounding it gave it a smooth finish. I can definitely finish this one alone.
Price: Php 225
Table for: 1

P.S. I really love s’mores and this one is simply one of the best things that ever happened to torched marshmallows.
Ambiance: 4/5
Service: 5/5
Overall Rating: 5/5
Nutritionist’s Corner:
1. Chili has capsaicin which may help a person lose weight by increasing the metabolism if consumed regularly but again a healthy diet and active lifestyle is still the key if you want to lose weight.
2. Some people experience a burning sensation when eating chili, but repeated exposure to this depletes a person’s reaction and increase their ability to eat hotter chillies.
