Seems like McDonald’s won’t back down since its competitor recently released new desserts on their menu. Now, they just released not just one, but two new limited-edition sundae flavors: the Ube Pastillas, and Brazo Sundae. They might not have a new pie flavor but they do have a new coffee that we can enjoy: the McCafé Iced Coffee Milky w/ Brazo!
Just saw the news on Facebook and I didn’t think twice and tried it immediately. I checked the FoodPanda app but the new items were not available yet so I just ordered on their website.
Ordered everything new and just added my favorite spaghetti with a burger and upsized the drink to Iced Coffee Milky w/ Brazo.
McCafé Iced Coffee Milky w/ Brazo
If you love McCafé’s signature Iced Coffee, you might love this one too. Well, that’s if you want to enjoy your coffee milkier and a bit sweeter than usual. There’s a hint of sweetness of the custard syrup on the strong and bold coffee flavor.
This is something I would recommend if you want something strong yet sweet!

For the sundaes, since I ordered it via delivery, I did not expect that they can deliver the ice cream not melted. So, no instagrammable photos. Hehe.
Ube Pastillas Sundae
Love ube?
Well, the ube flavor was there but… it was sweet but just okay for me. If you’re an avid fan of ube, or if you are craving for ube, this might not satisfy your cravings. Well, at least for me.

Brazo de Mercedes Sundae
If you think Brazo de Mercedes, you will immediately think about its melt-in-your-mouth meringue and delicious custard filling. Well, this one has that custard filling but more like sweet as condensed milk with a hint of lemony taste syrup. Well, doesn’t really remind me of Brazo de Mercedes. You know, the taste was there but at the same time, it wasn’t? I’m quite confused too.

I don’t enjoy ice creams that have already melted which might be another reason for my ratings. If you would ask me, maybe I have to try it again if I am at their store, which rarely happens. So, maybe not again if it’s for delivery. While their Ube Pastillas and Brazo Sundae are also a must-try if you want to try something new, what I would recommend and order again myself is their McCafé Iced Coffee Milky w/ Brazo!
By the way, this is not all since it was already late when I realized that they are also offering McCafé Ube Pastillas Frappe and McCafé Brazo Frappe, both for only Php 159.
Ohh.. alsoooo, if you’re in for something that’s also available for a limited time only, go get their Twister Fries too!
