Got invited to attend Master Samgyup’s Grand Opening last November 4 in Lucban and we definitely enjoyed their Unlimited Samgyupsal and live band while dining in!
Master Samgyup just opened last November 4 but they have been delivering Korean Bbq to Lucbanins and nearby towns for a year now! Thanks to the fruit of their labor and Lucbanin’s love for samgyupsal.
Master Samgyup can easily be seen since it is along the highway in Summerville II and you can easily spot this modern 2-story building.
I love Korean Bbq and I got so excited when I got an invite to attend their Grand Opening from my friends from Saan Sa Ph. Also, this is my first event here in Quezon Province so, it is a bit more special for me too.
Upon entering, you should sign-up on their Health Declaration Form first and do a temperature check to ensure a safe dining experience for everyone.
The place was really nice, modern, and minimalist. They also have a few outdoor dining tables and I think that would be the perfect spot to dine in especially now that it’s colder in Lucban, you don’t have to worry about the weather being too hot.
The indoor dining area is also nice but be prepared since you might smell like samgyupsal afterwards since they only have an exhaust for the whole area and not on individual tables. Nevertheless, I would still recommend this place for their mouthwatering samgyupsal!
Korean Bbq Meat Selection
We tried almost everything on their menu and what I specifically love was the availability of cheese! You should not miss this one!
You can choose from their 8 types of meat: Plain Daepae (Pork Strips), Plain Woosamgyup (Beef Strip), Honey Garlic (Pork & Beef), BBQ Bulgogi (Pork & Beef), Spicy Gochujang (Pork & Beef), Seasoned Samgyupsal (Thick-cut Pork, and Seasoned Chicken (White Meat).
We tried their Plain Woosamgyup, Beef Honey Garlic, Spicy Gochujang, and Beef BBQ Bulgogi.
Love the cuts of their meat! It has the perfect meat to fat ratio and are sliced thinly just as we wanted.
I’m a bit biased when it comes to Beef Bulgogi so, this one is my favorite. It has the perfect combination of savory, sweet, and salty beef. Yummm!
This one is our 2nd favorite. It wasn’t as spicy as I have expected but I love it since I don’t really like food that are too or extremely spicy.
I wasn’t able to take photos of their Beef Honey Garlic but I would recommend it if you want sweet and savory meat for your Samgyup.
Side Dishes
For their side dishes, we were able to try their potato marbles, kimchi, fish cakes, spicy cucumber, onion, garlic, chili, cheese, and rice. For the dips, they have sesame oil, gochujang, and samjjang.
Aside from these side dishes, they also offer their Specialty A la Carte which can get for an additional price.
We’re able to try their Steamed Egg which is for me, also something that should be available whenever I eat samgyup! You can get this for only Php 159. Other a la carte dishes include Cheesy Rabokki, Spicy Stir-fry, and Corn Cheese.
We also got to enjoy their cold iced tea. Something to quench your thirst or rest your tongue from all the meat.
