Upon our arrival in Kuala Lumpur Sentral, we just checked-in in our hotel and walked right away down the streets to see where we can have breakfast.
I really appreciate how the streets are clean and looked organized. It was like walking on the streets in a movie set.
While walking we passed by Old Town White Coffee but thought we should eat something more authentic or where the locals eat so, we continued walking and saw this restaurant (which looks like a simple eatery) where people dine-in al fresco.
A bit confused about how things go around here, someone assisted us to a table. Then, we ordered and paid after having our meal.
They keep the tables and chairs once the customer is done eating and put it back again once a new customer arrives.
From the outside, you can actually see how they cook the Wonton Noodles or the Malaysian Wan Tan Mee. There’s nothing like freshly cooked noodles!
The noodles are then put on a plate and tossed in a sauce before adding the toppings. Seeing this made me want to order one immediately for myself.
Roast Meat Noodles – were actually surprised that the noodles come with a Wonton Soup. I think it is essential to balance the strong flavor of the noodles aside from the pickled green chilies served on the side. The pickled green chilies, on the other hand, were not spicy. It was a bit sour, sweet, and just a bit spicy. It was essential to enjoy the noodles so, don’t ignore it just like what we did at first.
The roasted meat was well-seasoned and tender which perfectly goes well with the noodles.
The Wonton Soup was also delicious though there’s nothing much to talk about it.

Chicken Fish Ball Noodles – this one is the same as the previous one but with chicken as the toppings. I prefer having the roasted meat over this simply because I don’t like eating pure chicken meat. Good thing they have this pickled green chilies to break the monotony in flavor.
Also, I love that this meal comes with fishball noodles which I truly enjoyed since I wanted to have something hot in the morning.

Klang Bak Ku Kut Teh – Klang is a town in Malaysia famous for its Bak Kut Teh or pork ribs soup. It has a light, sweet and savory taste which was surprisingly a bit addictive. It tastes quite similar to our Humba but with soup instead of sauce.
You should definitely not miss this dish in Malaysia.

Overall, the experience was really great and the staff was helpful enough even though there is a language barrier. I also love that we get to dine in a place where locals eat experiencing how and where they typically enjoy their meals. It was also nice that we dine in during the morning as it is not hot and the weather was good.

We didn’t see the name of the restaurant but upon searching in google maps, I saw that its name is One Sentral Restaurant. It was a bit hard finding significant food reviews about the place and I am still not sure if this restaurant is also famous to tourists but if you are in the area, I would recommend that you try it here. The food looks clean too since you can see how they prepare everything.
If you can’t find One Sentral Restaurant, you can locate it on google maps using the link below.
