Been hearing a lot of good reviews about Le Sucre Lab for a long time now and finally got the chance to try it!

Le Sucre Lab started as a pastry studio and workshop in Sta. Ana, Manila in 2017. Then they created the now-famous gooey chocolate cake in a tin can which was popularly known as Chocolate Dreamcake.

I was really super excited to try their cakes since it made noise last year. I was supposed to try the chocolate variant but because we love strawberries, we tried their Strawberry Dreamcake instead.

The cake has layers of chiffon cake, fresh strawberries, and strawberry cream.

While the cake really looks promising with generous amounts of fresh strawberries and has a heavenly aroma, the chiffon cake layer was a bit overcooked and tastes a bit burnt compromising the whole experience.

Though, we didn’t like this one. Maybe it is just one of the “bad batch”, I am still willing to try the other flavors and see for myself if it is really worth the hype.
