L.C. Big Mak Inc. has been all over Lucena City for more than 30 years already and I  haven’t tried it yet (or maybe I did but already forgot about it).

I am wondering why they have remained standing still throughout these years. Is it because of its price? Or is it really delicious?

So, I decided to try it out of curiosity despite that my friends told me that there are better options.

I tried it in their biggest store where there are tables and chairs so that I can comfortably sit and take photos of the food.

I was supposed to try everything on their menu since this is the only branch serving spaghetti, pizza biscuit, fried chicken meal, pork siomai, pork sisig, siopao, and burger steak but it was all not available. The next option was to have their Value Meals which is basically your choice of burger, drinks, and fries but the fries is also not available. So, I only have a few options left.

I have decided to try the classics — Classic Cheeseburger and added in some extra egg. Well, I can say that you get what you paid for. Good enough for the price.

Footlong Dog – the staff automatically cut the footlong into half and served it on a plate. I don’t know if it was bad timing for me since the bread tastes hhmmm… not new and the hotdog doesn’t taste good either.

One time, my brother bought one for take-out and ate it at home and told me that their competitor’s footlong does taste much better even with the burgers.

While it is nice to have a comfortable chair to sit in, it could have been better if the airconditioning unit was turned on or at least there’s an electric fan inside. It was around 7:00 pm and it was hot inside and colder outside. Also, their exhaust was either turned off as well or it’s not working.

Overall, dining in at Big Mak was a good experience, indeed. At least, I am no longer curious about it. If I am going back to try the other dishes or burgers? No. I agree with my friend, there are better options out there. Same price but better quality.
