Isabelito’s Garden Restaurant: Dining In A Garden-Like Set-Up

Whenever we have Sunday lunch out, we often go to Kamayan sa Palaisdaan to have delicious Pinoy dishes but this time, we wanted to try something new so, we have decided to try Isabelito’s Garden Restaurant. Google maps can be a bit tricky since it will point you to another location. Just click the link below so that you won’t get lost or ask a tricycle driver and they will point you to Deveza Farm.

The restaurant is located inside Deveza Farm serving Filipino dishes with a twist in a garden-like set-up.

Upon arrival, the staff was busy so, we waited a bit to be seated. After seating, the staff immediately gave us the menu and complimentary peanuts.

We wanted to try their Pako Salad but it was not available at that time. So, we just ordered some of their bestsellers.

Thai Green Mango Salad – one of their specialty includes this salad and its definitely a must-try though serving size was a bit small for more than 3 persons.

Price: Php 140
Table for: 2-3 persons
Food Rating: 3.5/5

Papel de Liempo – thinly sliced liempo. It was crispy but a bit overcooked. It seems like it was cooked in a very high heat which made it lose its flavor.

Price: Php 270
Table for: 3-4 persons
Food Rating: 3/5

Chopsuey ni Chayong – a typical chopsuey that you would enjoy if you are looking for a vegetable dish. At least this one tastes good and serving size is quite big.

Price: Php 275
Table for: 3-4 persons
Food Rating: 3.5/5

Sinugno – grilled tilapia bathed in coconut milk and topped with mustard leaves. This is one of Quezon’s pride and it did not disappoint.

Sinugno

This is one of our favorites here.

Price: Php 320
Table for: 3-4 persons
Food Rating: 5/5

Crunchy Bicol Express – since coconut dishes are one of Quezon Province’s pride you’ll be sure to enjoy this one here as well. Love how crispy the meat was and the overall flavor of the dish. Also, its spiciness level is just mild which is perfect for us.

We also ordered Manok ni San Isidro but when it arrived, it was still undercooked. So, I returned it and thought they would replace it automatically but after waiting for a few minutes, I went back to the counter and asked when our chicken will be done but apparently, they did not do it. I got a bit annoyed since they didn’t tell me and we are waiting for it. I can’t really blame them since there were only two staff in the dining area and there were a lot of people dining in since it was lunchtime and it was Sunday.

We did not order desserts since service is a bit slow. It is better if you can call them for a reservation and order in advance so that it will be ready once you arrive.

Ambiance: 4/5
Service: 3/5
Value for Money: 3.5/5
Overall Rating: 3/5

The staff were nice but it could’ve been better if there were more staff since it was Sunday. Waiting time for food is about 20 minutes minimum so, make sure that you go earlier or order in advance.

The ambiance was nice and the ventilation was quite good but it can get hot in some area so, much make sure to sit where there is no sun.
