Anyone who is tasked to order food in a restaurant knows the struggle of choosing dishes that everyone would agree on. Good thing, Uncle Cheffy Bistro is offering a set menu that would fit different groups.
We ordered the UC Treat 3 which consists of the Molino Salad, Country Style Pork Ribs, Lamb Spareribs, Fried Shrimps, and Special Rice which costs Php 1,495. The set menu is good for 5 to 6 persons (I also included the a la carte prices of each dish for your reference).
Molino Salad – mix of greens tossed in toasted sesame dressing topped with chicken fillet and garlic croutons. Since I love sesame dressings, no wonder this one tasted good!
Price: Php 175 (a la carte)
Table for: 3-4 persons
Food Rating: 5/5
Special Rice – most of the time, we go for the regular rice since we don’t want the rice to overpower the taste of our viand. Good thing the barbecue flavoring on this one is not overwhelming and pairs perfectly with the other dishes.
Also, they don’t have white rice platters, only per cup.
Price: Php 120
Table for: 3-4 persons
Food Rating: 3.5/5
Fried Shrimps – served with potato wedges which we all love. The shrimps, on the other hand, has a lot of breading which we didn’t like it. This is also our least favorite from the set meal.
Price: Php 415
Table for: 2-3 persons
Food Rating: 2.5/5
Country Style Pork Ribs – while this one doesn’t look appetizing, it actually tastes good and the meat is tender.
They also offer a family-sized platter which costs Php 650.
Price: Php 365
Table for: 2-3 persons
Food Rating: 3.5/5
Lamb Spareribs – cooked with garlic thyme jus and potato wedges on the sides. The lamb meat was juicy and tender. This one is our favorite!
They also have family-sized which is priced at Php 695.
Price: Php 350
Table for: 3-4 persons
Food Rating: 5/5
Cheffy Cheesecake – knowing that the place isn’t a dessert place, we weren’t expecting that their desserts would be this good. This cheesecake has Oreos!
A must-try!
Price: Php 195
Table for: 1
Food Rating: 5/5
Chocolate Souffle Cake – you can either choose to have it alone or topped with either Banana Caramel or Mangoes. Since the mangoes aren’t available at that time, we tried it with the banana caramel instead. We love how it was served still hot on our table and enjoyed every bit of it! This one is a bit small since it only costs Php 105.
Price: Php 105
Table for: 1
Food Rating: 5/5
Overall, we are pleased with their food and service. I highly recommend the place for people looking for affordable yet delicious food which is perfect for small or big groups. Our favorite? The Lamb Spareribs and the Molino Salad.
And oh, don’t forget to order desserts!
