Kica Bites is a start-up business established by the newly-wed couple, Kim and Carla (KiCa). who met years back in a firm. The couple was married during this pandemic and while they are figuring out how to start a life together, they decided to start this passion project, “baking as their quaranthing”.

Upon start-up 5 weeks ago, they have two products on their menu: Original Chocolate Chip and Triple Dark Chocolate with Walnuts. Soon, they are planning to add more products but for now, let’s focus on these cookies. It is available in a box of 6’s, 10’s or if you can’t decide what to get, you can have a mixed box with 10 cookies.

Original Chocolate Chip Cookies – you may know by now that I am such a cookie monster whether it is straight from the fridge or reheated in the oven. I always make sure to try the cookies, either way, to review and compare, or sometimes, I am just too lazy to reheat it. Haha.

Straight from the fridge, I like its crispy on the outside yet gooey on the inside texture. Unlike other cookies, theirs did not dry up on the fridge. But after trying it out reheated, the texture and taste became even better. Not only that it is more crunchy outside and gooey inside but the melting chocolate added more fun to the cookies. I super loved those melting chocolates which taste even better reheated. So, if you want to enjoy those melting chocolates and that perfect texture, don’t skip reheating these.

Triple Dark Chocolate with Walnuts – I also like this one but I like the first one better. It has the same texture and is also the size of one’s palm. I like its taste but somehow, I am looking for more walnuts. There are walnuts but not that evident since it is too small and a bit few. Aside from that, this one is a sure winner too! You can easily see those dark chocolates melting nicely when you reheat it in the oven.

All orders are made to order and they are baking in small batches so, make sure to order ahead of time and check their delivery schedules! They also accept special arrangements for orders of more than 100 pieces.
