I heard a lot about Ben’s Halo-Halo since they are serving halo-halo with sili or as they call it, the Spicy Winter. I’ve been meaning to try it even before the pandemic started but haven’t got the chance to. Now, I just came back from our UAE trip and had to do an errand and decided to take out some halo-halo for dessert at home.
Their Sili Halo-Halo reminds me of Bicol’s famous sili ice cream that’s why I just had to try it.
They have 4 halo-halo variants: Original Halo-Halo, Spicy Winter, Salty Summer, and Macapuno Con Yelo. They also serve Banana Con Yelo, Mais Con Yelo, and Lanka Con Yelo. Sakto, there were four of us at home so, I decided to order all four
I was impressed that even though I ordered these for take-out, the presentation still looks the same as the photos. Also, the cup they used was thick. Good job to them since most people are relying on food deliveries now.
Original Halo-Halo
All their halo-halo has creamy and finely shaved ice that almost melts in your mouth. I really love their sweetened saba which was mashed, not the typical one we have in our halo-halo but definitely adds more creaminess and sweetness to it. It was really a palate pleaser for me. Also, all their halo-halo isn’t too sweet, some might look for more sugar but for me, the sweetness is already fine as the toppings like their banana would make up for it.

Spicy Winter
The halo-halo that made me want to try Ben’s Halo-Halo.
It is their original halo-halo but with added spice to it. Just like the famous sili ice cream, it only leaves a lingering spicy sensation in your mouth and throat. It wasn’t spicy at all in case you are wondering. Definitely, a must-try if you’re in for that sensation.
Another thing I love about their halo-halo is that you can easily identify what flavor it is based on the toppings. You don’t have to guess especially if you just ordered it via delivery.

Salty Summer
Move over salted caramel, this is the real deal!
This easily became my favorite among all four flavors. If you love your desserts that are sweet and salty (like salted caramel if I must compare) this one is for you. Mixing the salted egg, just like how we mix our halo-halo is the way to go for you to enjoy its salty flavor all throughout.

Macapuno Con Yelo
I don’t really like macapuno that much that’s why I’m not that much into this but to be fair, it was actually good.
It has lots of macapuno, creamy, and yes, if you love macapuno, you should definitely order this one. I didn’t feel the cheese on top that much but it was good.

Aside from these coolers, they are also offering rice meals, pasta, snacks, and sandwiches. Price ranges from Php 100 to Php 200 only.
I love all their halo-halo and I would definitely recommend that you try Ben’s Halo-Halo. If I would go back again, I will surely order their Salty Summer Halo-Halo!

At the time I went there, they were fixing the air conditioning but good thing it wasn’t that hot that day. The staff was accommodating and waiting took a while but it was okay.
You can also order via FoodPanda and other third-party delivery services. I often use Angkas sa Lucena Delivery Services on Facebook. You just have to message them and someone will respond to you. I haven’t got any problems using their service ever since.
