I may be a bit too late now but yeah, I actually never heard that Chowking has a new offering until my foodie friend, @thefoodieinac told me about it.
I was actually craving for my favorite, Sweet and Sour Fish Lauriat but opted to try Chowking’s Chick ‘n Sauce. At first, I thought I have to choose between Sweet & Sour and Asian Spicy sauce. I could’ve chosen the Asian Spicy since I thought the sweet & sour wouldn’t be different from what they are currently offering. But yeah, you can enjoy two sauces in one meal.
Chowking’s Chick ‘n Sauce is perfect for take-out since you can enjoy your chicken still crispy once you get home.
The chicken was crunchy, tender, and juicy even after some time. Also, I am so happy with their sauces! I felt like I also ate the Sweet & Sour Lauriat that I have been craving for. Between the two sauces, I like the Asian Spicy sauce better since it was sweet and has a spicy kick just right for my palate. I also love that they give a generous amount of sauce, hindi bitin!
The Lauriat comes with Yang Chao Fried Rice which I think is better than having it with plain rice. I usually order additional Chicharap or Buchi with my lauriat but didn’t do it this time. Well, I should’ve not hesitated. LOL.
Price:
A la carte: Php 99
Lauriat: Php 180
Table for: 1

The Chowking Chick ‘n Sauce is also available in platter.
Will definitely be one of my go-to orders on Chowking from now on!
