Celestea is a locally owned tea shop that sells artisan, organic, and hand-plucked loose leaf teas online.
The owner’s love for tea started way back in their province in Nueva Vizcaya where they used to drink fresh tea from their mother’s garden. Since then, they continuously look for high-quality loose leaf teas that are not too expensive. It was not easy to find one so, they have decided to bring it home and share it with the tea-to’s and tea-ta’s in the Philippines.
Some of their teas were sourced outside the country like India, Nepal, and Africa while some were locally sourced. Soon, they will be sourcing all their products locally to support our farmers.
I was very excited when Celestea messaged me to do a collaboration and try their products since I love tea. My tea addiction started about 2 to 3 years ago when my friend told me to try Starbucks’ Hibiscus Tea with Pomegranate Pearls. It then became my default order every time I wanted to have cold tea.
By the way, I am not a tea expert, I just love teas!
Organic Hibiscus Tea – it was my first time trying out this tea that’s not from Starbucks so, I was expecting the same flavor. Tried it without honey at first and it was mildly bitter and I can taste the fullness of its flavor. Later on, I tried adding honey and it tasted better. Now, I can enjoy one of my favorite teas at home!
Good thing they have instructions for first-timers like me — just add 1 to 2 teaspoons of the loose-leaf for each cup of hot water and steep for 5 to 7 minutes (for herbal teas).

Organic Lavender Tea – well, aside from the reason that I love the color lavender, I love this tea’s scent and flavor. It has a light and sweet flavor even without honey.

Table for: 1 bottle (25 g)
Food Rating: 5/5
Buying raw organic honey in Manila is a bit hard for me since I have trust issues. Haha. I mean, I am not sure if what they sell is legit. So, I buy honey whenever I travel since it is more affordable and most likely, and hopefully, “legit”. I have bought honey from Palawan and Bacolod and it made checking in at the airport such a hassle.
Organic Raw Honey – I am really glad that they have this. Now, I can buy tea and honey with a dipper all in one store, online, very convenient.
Surprisingly, their honey is better than the ones I have bought previously. Another plus point for me was that they get their product directly from the women of the Tagbanua tribe. #SupportLocal

I also love that they provide these instructions in their bottle which I find very useful though I add honey to my tea as I please:
For a subtle taste: 1 teaspoon of honey
For cough: 2 teaspoons of honey added to herbal tea
For sore throat: 2 ½ teaspoons of honey added to herbal tea
It was also a good thing that they remind their consumers not to use a metal spoon in honey since it has an acidic pH and reacts to anything metal.
Overall, I love all the products I have tried — organic and high-quality at an affordable price.
