Because I’m always late on-trend, I just tried out Ben’s Cookies.
Been seeing them ever since they opened here in the Philippines in 2019 but of course, like how I just tried out Panda Express, the same reasons apply here. Except for the fact that their location is also a bit far from me.
Ben’s Cookies is made to travel the world from Oxford since 1983. And finally, it arrived here in the Philippines last 2019 serving their signature freshly-baked cookies with chocolate chunks, not chips.
I asked my friends online and they told me it was delicious. They also suggested choosing unique flavors like the Orange & Milk Chocolate Chunk, and Speculoos Crunch. So, I chose those and 5 more flavors.
Upon opening the box, the first thing I noticed was its chunks of chocolate in the middle and its inviting scent. The cookies were also intricately packed inside the box.
All cookies were big, soft, chewy, and has that perfect crunch. The cookies were also delicate as it crumbles easily and stayed the same even after 3 days.
Tried 6 flavors and here’s what I think about each cookie (listed from my most to least favorite).
Orange & Milk Chocolate Chunk – really love the mellow scent of orange and chocolate combined on this one! The scent itself makes me want to try it instantly but of course, I have to take a photo of it first.
This one is a real unique treat since it’s a flavor we cannot usually see on a cookie.
Just like how it smells, I also like how the chocolate gives out a sweet taste without the orange overpowering it. Definitely love those small orange chunks on top too!
This one is definitely a must-try for first-timers like me!
White Chocolate Chunk – love that big chunk of white chocolate in the middle but I would have appreciated it even more if there were more chocolate chunks in the cookie. I love it so much that I wanted to have more of it bite after bite. The white chocolate on top reminds me of the powdered skimmed milk. Even its texture is like one as it is a bit chalky which also gives it additional texture.
Triple Chocolate Chunks – now, that’s what I am talking about, more chocolate chunks! Though this one is a bit on the normal side, I really love the chocolate chunks that go with it. The chocolate chunks for me are the real deal here. Also, for its price, this is absolutely a good steal. I mean, you really get what you paid for!
Cranberry & White Chocolate Chunk – not really a fan of anything with dried fruits most especially cranberries but this one changed my mind. It has a lot of cranberries and chocolates on top too! How I wish the other cookies have as many chocolates as this one.
Praline & Milk Chocolate Crunch – this one tastes the same as the others as the base cookie is the same just with added praline on top. Quite good as well but not my favorite. I just really love the chocolate chunks on top of it. Yum!
Speculoos Crunch – this cookie is my least favorite among the 6 flavors I have tried. Also, for me, this isn’t sulit at all as there’s nothing special in it. I am looking for a stronger speculoos taste. Also, I am more of a chocolate cookie type of person which may also be the reason why I like this one the least.

Now, is it really “the most incredible cookie I ever tasted?”
I would definitely say yes for my top four favorites which are the Orange & Milk Chocolate, White Chocolate, Triple Chocolate, and Cranberry & White Chocolate Chunk. The Praline & Milk Chocolate Crunch tastes good as well but I would rather have the Orange & Milk Chocolate than this one. As for the Speculoos Crunch, I just think that I am not the target market for this cookie. if you are like me who loves chocolates on cookies, might as well try the ones with chocolates on them and skip this one.
I wanted to indulge in all the cookies in one go but I have to do the refrigerator test and see if its quality will stay the same even after a few days. On the box, there is a reminder to consume it within 4 days so, I made sure to consume it before the 4th day.
I tried the cookies after putting them on the refrigerator and it made it less crumbly but chewy. I tried it also reheated and I like it better since the chocolate started to melt a bit. If I were to choose, I would choose to eat it straight from the box. Don’t get me wrong, it also tastes good after eating it straight out of the fridge but I love its crumbly and crunchy texture when eaten fresh from the box.
You can also get it in Large Ben’s Box with 15 pcs cookies (10 pcs + 5 pcs free) for Php 900 or in tin cans for Php 855 and Php 495 for 8 and 4 pcs, respectively.
