Everyone’s food game definitely stepped up during the quarantine period and here’s a list of the famous quarantine food trends from drinks, to mini versions, and anything baked!
First on our list is the Ube Cheese Pandesal. Basically, our favorite hot pandesal leveled up with ube and cheese! No need to look for spread just worry about your cup of coffee or tea.
This one already trended last year and no virus can seem to bring it down with everyone making their own version at their own homes.
2. Baked Sushi
Another baked trend that never seems to end. A deconstructed version of the original Japanese rolled Sushi. And it didn’t end here since now, people are making other versions like Philly Cheese Steak and Baked Samgyup!
This one is Tamago Kani Mango and Spicy Tuna Cucumber.
3. Mini Pancakes
It’s still a pancake but in a cute mini version! Just how cute are these!
Made this one myself and its no easy feat and of course, cooking takes longer than the usual. But people don’t seem to mind just to get that instagrammable mini pancakes. It’s also a good breakfast idea for your kids to eat (or for those kids at heart).
Aside from this, you can further up your mini pancake game by adding a Swiss Miss chocolate to the mix. If you love this drink, you’ll definitely love adding it to your pancake too!
This affordable and easy to make Tuna Pie surely made it on our list.
If you have tasty bread, canned tuna, onions, eggs, breadcrumbs/sky flakes, mayonnaise, cheese, salt, and pepper, you’re good to go!
5. Mojos
Everyone started making this when Shakey’s released its very own recipe!
This recipe only calls for 4 ingredients is easily done by peeling and slicing the potatoes then dipping it on breading. Fry it and enjoy your own mojos! Serve it with gravy for a full Shakey’s experience at home or create your own dip!
An easy way to step up your basic bread, hotdog, and cheese combo!
Just flatten the bread, put hotdog and cheese, roll it, dip on egg and bread crumbs, then fry it!
You may also add mayo-ketchup but for me, it’s already good without it.
7. Max’s Tofu Sisig
While this one is fairly not new, it still got a spot on the most cooked recipe during the quarantine. Well, who doesn’t love Max’s Tofu Sisig, right?
No need to spend a bunch with this recipe!
Aside from those snacks and dishes, people also miss enjoying their favorite cafe drinks. Of course, we have to do something about our cravings and recreate it, our own way!
A three-ingredient drink to level up your coffee, tea, or chocolate drink. Though this drink is not easy to make manually, I mean you need a mixer if you want to do make this in a breeze. Otherwise, expect to whisk it manually for about 15 minutes.
I know these drinks are delicious and oh so instagrammable but hey, watch out for the calories!
9. Kori Kohi
Another three-ingredient drink that every coffee lover will surely enjoy. Without spending a few bucks, you can enjoy this famous UCC coffee drink in the comfort of your own home.
All you need to do is freeze your concentrated coffee mix (with sugar if preferred) in the ice tray. Let it freeze then add it on a warm cup of milk and you’re good to go!
Yup, there is such a thing. And guess what, this is a two-ingredient drink!
If you have Vietnamese coffee in your pantry, you can recreate this drink using it for a more authentic experience. If not, you can stick to using this recipe because why not? After all, instant coffee also uses robusta coffee, right?
11. DIY Frnk Milk Bar
Everyone has gone crazy when Frnk Milk Bar released their very own recipe.
Remember to use quality ingredients to achieve this drink at home!
12. Yakult Popsicle
One thing that people noticed while going to the grocery store was the unavailability of this favorite drink. Well, seems like this drink was also an “essential” during the quarantine. A few stores even limit the number of packs you can buy just like the other essentials like alcohol, tissue, mask, etc.
And yes, without adding this drink to any other drink, you can level this up by simply putting straw or any stick and put it on the freezer. Viola! You now have a Yakult Popsicle!

It almost felt like Christmas is just around the corner when everyone started making desserts at home. Fruit salad? Leche Flan? Ref Cake? Name it. Of course, aside from the usual Mango Ref Cake, we also found ways to tweak it a bit and create a whole new dessert like the Cookies and Cream Graham Ref Cake.
13. Cream-O Ref Cake
Another alternative to Oreo is using Cream-O!
This dessert is perfect for chocolate lovers like me!
14. Cookies and Cream Popsicles
And as if the cookies and cream ref cake is not enough, making it into a popsicle is fairly easy and delicious too!
Crush your favorite oreo, add milk, all-purpose cream, and sugar. Mix and pour it inside the packaging then freeze! Enjoy!
15. Mini Donuts
Do you love the famous Lil’ Orbits? You can also recreate this by adding powdered cinnamon, strawberry, cookies and cream, cheese, mocha, plain sugar, or just any flavor you want on your homemade donuts. You decide!
Just make a batter, fry it and add flavored powder and enjoy!
