Chocolate Tea

Three Ways You Can Enjoy Chocolate Tea From Choclets

If you are not yet into the tea madness but you love chocolates, maybe this is the right time for you to try it out.

Choclets released its Premium Chocolate Tea last 2019 and it was definitely the first time I heard of it. I thought, “ohh, chocolates as tea? How?”

I wasn’t really expecting it to be sweet since it’s a tea but I love how its scent brings out a chocolatey aroma and taste to the herbal beverage. If it’s your first time hearing or tasting this one out, don’t expect it to be chocolatey sweet but rather expect it to be cacao-like chocolatey with a bit bitter, and earthy flavor with a chocolatey scent. It was actually hard to describe but I hope this one helps.

I have previously written about them and you may check it out here for more details.

Premium Chocolate Tea

As I was always looking out for ways to spice up my tea game, I looked for Chocolate Tea recipes online and found these three. I found a lot more but I will save those for future reference.

Just like any other teas, you can also enjoy it hot or cold or maybe in between too. Anyway, all you need are this chocolate tea, cocoa powder, milk, and honey or sugar. And if you want to spice it up, add some cinnamon or cardamom pods.

First, I will share with you the basic way of brewing this chocolate tea. Just put 2 tsp of Chocolate Tea in a tea steeper, strainer, or a reusable tea bag then brew it using boiling water for 6-8 minutes. You can brew it longer for a stronger taste but I actually like brewing mine for 5 minutes only to avoid the strong bitter taste. You can also use less or more amount of chocolate tea depending on your preference.

Chocolate Tea with Cinnamon

The next recipe is almost the same as the one above but I have added cardamom pods. I’ve been planning to make my own Chai Tea Latte that’s why I have this at home but I haven’t got the chance to do so. Anyway, a few people asked me where I got my cardamom pods and here it is https://shopee.prf.hn/l/6PGleZB.

Adding cardamom pods definitely gave it more spice. If you like it that way, you should definitely use both cinnamon and cardamom. But if you want it with just a bit of spice, skip the cardamom and stick with using cinnamon powder.

For other alternatives and to lower calorie count, you can use low-fat, almond, or soy milk. Feel free to adjust these chocolate tea recipes depending on your preference like adding more sugar or using less cocoa powder. Remember not to use more than 2 tsp cocoa powder since it will overpower the taste of the tea. Also, avoid adding too much cinnamon as it will also alter its taste.
