I was surprised when my father showed me a video and told me to cook it because it’s Korean Beef Bowl. It’s a Korean dish! Yay!
Since I love Korean food, I instantly said okay and listed down the recipes I need to cook it.
This dish is somewhat similar to the Korean Beef Bulgogi but more budget-friendly since I am using ground beef instead of sirloin.
So, here’s how I did it:
Ingredients:
1/2 k Ground Beef
2 tbsp Oyster Sauce
4 tbsp Savor Rich Liquid Seasoning
1 tbsp Vinegar
3 tsp Sesame Oil
2 tbsp Brown Sugar
Sesame Seeds
Carrots
Cucumber
4 garlic cloves Garlic
2 tsp Ginger
Egg
Procedure:
1. Mince garlic and ginger.
2. Boil carrots until cooked then peel and slice into thin strips (julienne cut).
3. In a pan, saute garlic, and ginger then add ground beef. You can also use ground pork if you prefer it over beef.
4. While waiting for the beef to be cooked, prepare a small bowl and mix Savor Rich Seasoning Mix, vinegar, sesame oil, and brown sugar.
5. Once the ground beef is cooked, add in the liquid mixture.
6. Let it cook for a few more minutes.
7. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions if you have some then turn off the heat.
8. In a separate pan, cook sunny side up egg.
9. In a bowl, serve beef over rice with carrots, sliced cucumber, and egg.
10. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
11. Serve and enjoy!
It is definitely easy to make, even beginners can cook this. Also, I think it would be best served with some gochujang and kimchi. Too bad I don’t have it in our house but I would definitely cook this again and make sure to buy that gochujang and kimchi.
