My accidental discovery of Godiva Cafe was way back in my last travel to Malaysia in 2020 before the pandemic started. They were offering a lot yet I have only a little time to try everything I want in their cafe. That time, I was able to try their Dark Chocolate Soft Serve and some of their Chocolixir.
This time around, in the United Arab Emirates, I was surprised to see Godiva Cafe at the City Walk in Dubai. We actually went there to try PappaRoti. My sister told me that I can try it there so that I can already tick it off my list. I was torn at first since I also wanted to have coffee at PappaRoti but then, of course, I chose Godiva! The Godiva Cafe at the City Walk in Dubai is small and has less menu compared to others. They don’t have other menu items like brownies, cakes, drinks, etc. So, my only option was to have their Soft-Serve Ice Cream. Also, it is something I can easily bring to PappaRoti so that I can join my sisters there. Also, we’re in a hurry since this is the same day we are going to the Desert Safari!
Godiva Vanilla White Chocolate & Dark Chocolate Soft-Serve
The classic Godiva soft-serve ice cream I first tried in Malaysia! This time, I tried both flavors in one cone!
The soft-serve comes in waffle cones and yes, the ice cream goes all the way to the bottom, not just on top. So, for me, this was really worth the splurge. Add into that the quality of the vanilla and dark chocolate soft-serve. The ice cream was also topped with Godiva’s chocolate. The vanilla white chocolate soft-serve was like no other, you can actually taste how it was made luxuriously. Same with their dark chocolate which is just the best thing ever! I am more of a chocolate type of person but having two flavors in one was just as satisfying.

That’s the only one I tried at the Godiva Cafe at the City Walk in Dubai since as I’ve said, there were only a few options and I have to join my sisters at PappaRoti. If only I can fit everything in my small stomach!
Chocolate-Dipped Strawberries Cone
I first saw this when we went to the Dubai Frame. I wanted to try it but I find it too expensive for 12 AED a piece and you can’t buy it in pieces, it is available per cone for 50 AED. OMG. I can’t. Also, at the Dubai Frame, they only have muffins, hot chocolates, and this Chocolate-Dipped Strawberries Cone aside from the selection of Godiva Chocolates.
My ultimate favorite fruit was strawberry and I love chocolates very much so, it was such a pain that I don’t want to spend that much but I wanted to try it so bad. When we went to the Yas Mall and saw Godiva there. I don’t want to pass by it since I wanted to try their Affogato but I can’t since I already had two ice creams in one day — one in Ikea, and the other one at the Warner Bros. I told my sisters that they have an ongoing promo where we can get buy 1 take 1 chocolate. So, we went to the store, the Godiva Cafe here is big and has a lot to offer. They have everything here at the Yas Mall!
Anyway, we tried a lot of chocolates since the staff there was too nice to us. And the best thing was, he gave us a whole cone of their Chocolate-Dipped Strawberries Cone before we leave!!! Huhu. At first, we were shy but then, he insisted that we can have it. OMG!!! How can we resist??? We got it for FREE!!! I forgot to ask for his name but OMG, he was an angel. Haha.
You really can’t complain about its price because the quality was superb! The strawberries are all of the highest quality and fresh. Each strawberry was coated with a generous layer of Belgian chocolate cream. Definitely delicious and if ever I get to see this again, I would not think twice as I did here and just buy it upfront.

Godiva Chocolate Gift Box
The main reason why we went to the Godiva Cafe this time was to see if they also have the Buy 1 Get 1 Promo for this Godiva Chocolate Gift Box. And they have!
Each box contains 75 pieces of both Chocolate and Dark Chocolate.
The chocolate melt in your mouth! The chocolates were made with 72% cocoa-cacao variety while the dark chocolate was made with 85%.

Mendiant
Aside from that we also got their Mendiant which is a traditional French confection made with chocolate topped with nuts and dried fruits. This is something not available in other Godiva Cafes I have visited. I think it really varies per store. Also, the Godiva Cafe at the Yas Mall was the biggest I have seen so far.
Their mendiants are available in three flavors: dark chocolate, white chocolate, and chocolate.
Each chocolate cost 10 AED each but you can get it for only 50 AED if you buy 7 pieces. So, instead of buying just 3 pieces, we decided to buy 7!
Price: 50 AED
Table for: 7 pcs

Definitely, something I’d go back to over and over again! For next time, I’d make sure that I can dine in their cafe.
I’ve seen Godiva Cafe in some locations in UAE like the City Walk Dubai, Yas Mall at Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, Dubai Frame, and Al Ain Mall. You may also check out the nearest Godiva Cafe near you on their website.
