Nagi Izakaya is a modern izakaya + premium ramen concept brought in by the same people behind the Ramen Nagi brand.
My sisters and I went to their BGC branch at the Globe Tower thinking about ramen, of course. But actually, there’s a lot more to their menu than ramen. We tried mostly their bestsellers and the ones suggested by their staff and were just glad that we did.
Crab King
Breaded deep-fried softshell crab in tonkotsu broth, onion leeks, and nori sheets.
I’ve been wanting to try a ramen with soft-shell crab and I instantly grabbed this chance at Nagi Izakaya. I mean, who doesn’t want to eat a crab without the struggle of getting its meat out of the shell? Plus this soft-shelled crab was served on top of their tonkotsu broth. Super yum!
And yes, it is super sulit! A perfect treat for yourself for doing a goo job. Yeah, this is your sign to this good ‘ol ramen bowl!

Aburi Salmon Maki
Rolled sushi rice, kani sticks, mango, and cucumber, topped with flame-seared aburi sauce, freshly sliced salmon with mayo mixture, ebiko, and teriyaki sauce.
Super love Nagi Izakaya’s flame-seared salmon on top and it has lots of salmon as you can see in the photo.
Good for sharing but you might not want to share because it’s that good!

Gyoza
Boiled and seared dumplings filled with ground pork and vegetables wrapped in dough.
I thought their dip was spicy but it wasn’t. Anyway, if you want a spicy dip, you can ask them for some chili.
Their gyoza was good but since there’s a lot more of the good stuff on their menu, this is on the least of our favorites.

Chicken Nanban
Glazed karaage with a side of tartar sauce.
Okay, we thought their chicken was going to be bite-sized. It wasn’t. To be honest, this was pretty affordable because of its huge serving.
We love the tartar sauce that comes with it. If you’re a fan of chicken meat, you should definitely try this.

Hamburg Curry
Juicy flame-grilled Bolzico beef burger patty and scrambled egg over homemade Japanese curry sauce.
I was a bit hesitant to order this but the staff highly recommends this dish. He told us that it is one of their bestsellers. Okay.
Okay… Look at thaaat! Big piece of juicy, flame-grilled Bolzico beef burger patty. I am sold! Love how it goes well with the Japanese curry sauce. Definitely, something you should try here if you want to have rice instead of ramen. Super juicy, flavorful, tender, and definitely delicious!
This is my 2nd favorite after the King Crab Ramen.

Nagi Izakaya not only offers food but they also have beverages and I mean Japanese beers, highballs, and cocktails. Watch out for their Happy Hour promos!
We wanted to try their cocktails but we are already too full and besides, we came during lunch time.
House Blend Iced Tea
Instead, we opt for their House Blend Iced Tea, a refreshing drink to end our meal!
Overall Rating
Overall, we would highly recommend Nagi Izakaya. Whether you want to have a sumptuous lunch, a heavy merienda to get you through the day, or a delicious dinner to end your day. What I love more about Nagi Izakaya is the availability of alcoholic beverages and some snacks on their menu like their Chicken Yakitori, Chicken Liver, and Tempura which you can enjoy with their alcoholic beverages. The location is also perfect if you are working in BGC.
We highly recommend that you try their King Crab Ramen, Hamburg Curry, and their Salmon Aburi Maki.
Their service was also superb! The staff was friendly and accommodating.
