Griddle: Steak X Wings is a travel-themed restaurant specializing in steaks and wings with an extraordinary twist.
During our Maginhawa Food Trip, were able to try some of their best-selling dishes.
For the appetizer, they have Chicken Sisig Shooter, Ultimate Cheesy Fries, Nacho Overload, Chix n’ Chips, and Chicken Tacos.
Chicken Sisig Shooter – I must say that this is one of the best innovations done with sisig. We all love its flavor, and how it was aesthetically served on the plate. However, the downside of this one was that you should eat it immediately since the molo wrappers which serve as it shell loses its crunchiness after a while.
Price: Php 155
Table for: 3-4 persons
Food Rating: 4.5/5
Nachos Overload – tastes more tomato-ish rather than cheesy even though it was served overloaded with cheese.
Price: Php 275
Table for: 3-4
Food Rating: 3/5
For Steaks, I know your excited too since they are offering real affordable steaks in Maginhawa!
The steaks are served with rice and a side dish of your choice. For their side dishes, you can choose from mashed potatoes, fries, and corn and carrots. You also have the option to upgrade your rice to garlic rice for additional Php 25, java rice for additional Php 35 or kimch rice for additional Php 45.
The Original Griddle Steaks – the meat was tender, flavorful and big. I prefer this one with gravy since their gravy tastes really good! Love their gravy!
Price: Php 199
Table for: 1
Food Rating: 3/5
Chef’s Pick – a garlicky T-bone steak served with plain rice, and corn and carrots. The plain rice helped in balancing its salty flavor. I also prefer this one with gravy.
Price: Php 239
Table for: 1
Food Rating: 3.5/5
Texas Fire – it wasn’t “on fire”, not too spicy which I love. Among the three available flavors, this one is my favorite and I would definitely come back for this!
Price: Php 239
Table for: 1
Food Rating: 5/5
For their chicken, they have 7 available flavors: Honey Bagoong, Creamy Chimichurri, Smokey Bbq, Cheesy Nacho, Classic Buffalo, Sinigang and Kare-Kare. Curious how it tastes?
Honey Bagoong – since they specialize in giving a twist to the usual chicken flavors, they have this. The chicken was sweet and salty, too salty for me. The combination was great, but it tastes weird for me rather than delicious.
This is actually one of their bestsellers.
Price: Php 175
Table for: 1-2 persons
Food Rating: 3/5
Sinigang – I also find this one too weird. It may look appetizing but it wasn’t at all. I can’t even finish a piece. This one tastes sweet which is in contrast to the sour flavor of sinigang. It tastes like it was marinated with sprite then sprinkled with sesame seeds.
I love sinigang but not this one.
Price: Php 175
Table for: 1-2 persons
Food Rating: 1/5
Kare-Kare – they have regained my respect for this one. This was the only acceptable twist they have made with chicken. They really caught on the flavor of Kare-Kare plus their bagoong was also good! Two thumbs up for this one!
Price: Php 175
Table for: 1-2 persons
Food Rating: 5/5
If you wanted to enjoy affordable and delicious steaks, this should definitely be on your list when in Maginhawa.
The chicken was all juicy, crispy and well-seasoned however, I only liked the chicken Kare-Kare. The other chicken flavors are not for me.
I would recommend that you order the Chicken Sisig Shooters but make sure to eat it right away and try the steaks too!
Ambiance: 4/5

Overall Rating: 3.5/5
The place was a bit small but we like its interior since it provides a bright and happy-go-lucky vibe plus you won’t get bored looking around.
