One of Lucena City’s pride is the Pansit Chami.
Chami is a type of pancit that uses flat Miki noodles. The noodles are stir-fried with either chicken, pork or shrimp, and with vegetables like cabbage, carrots, and chayote. What makes it different aside from the noodles used was that this one is saucy. Its taste also varies depending on one’s preference, it can be just sweet or sweet & spicy.
While searching for the best Chami in the city, my friend introduced to me Dads Chamami. Dads Chamami is a small carinderia located near the Public Market serving not only pansit but also Bulalo, Goto Mami, Lomi, Sisig, Dinakdakan, and a lot more. I was actually a bit surprised to find that they have a lengthy menu.
On their menu, they have quite a variety of Chami — Chamami, Chamisaw, Chami Ramble Egg.
Chamami – a specialty of Dads Chamami which is technically, their version of Chami made special with lots of meat and vegetables.

Miki Bihon – I am more of a Miki Bihon type of person than Chami. This one is similar to Chami but uses two types of noodles — chami and bihon.
Price: Php 75
Table for: 3-4
Food Rating: 5/5
Sisig Chami – a Chami served on a sisig plate topped with an egg. This is also a new variation in the Chami world. Well, it was good but I have tried this somewhere better and with more sisig.

So, my friend told us to order this Crispy Salad which is very interesting for me since it was the first that I have heard of it.
Crispy Mami Salad – crispy noodles topped with coleslaw, carrots, spring onions, and mayonnaise. The mayonnaise used was a bit on the sweeter side which made it a perfect accompaniment with the crispy noodles. This actually became an instant favorite! Although this one is a bit expensive compared to the other dishes, this one is definitely a must-try. Also, the serving size is big.
