Pik-a-Pikel is manufactured by Sangkutsa Food Products Inc. Their business started in 2011 when their founder/CEO, Toni tasted Pickled Mango or locally known as “Burong Mangga” in Chinatown, Manila. Since then, he would go on a weekly trip to Chinatown just to buy his favorite Pickled Mango. He found commuting stressful and saw it as an opportunity and created his own products. His business then grew from a single proprietorship business in 2013 to a corporation in 2015. They also started commercializing their products in 2015 and started supporting local produce by sourcing only the freshest produce from different parts of the Philippines. This enabled them to promote sustainability to the farmers and as well as maintain the consistent quality of their products.
